For chlorine-based disinfection, commonly used chemicals are: sodium hypochlorite, chlorine gas and calcium hypochlorite.
Swimming pool water treatment includes the metering of flocculants in order to achieve optimal filtration results. Challenge: constant and exact metering of small amounts. No Problem for ProMinent Metering Pumps.
The pH value has an influence on the disinfection capacity and flocculation, should be between 6.8 and 7.2 pH.
Complimenting conventional disinfection with chlorine, disinfection or oxidation steps with Ultraviolet light and Ozone are also available. Both UV generators and Ozone generators can handle difficult conditions and/or reduce the use of sodium hypochlorite to a minimum.

The Redox potential measures oxidants or reducing agents in a medium. Premounted, plug & play metering and control generators for the metering of Sodium Hypochlorite or activated Oxygen and for measuring/controlling of the parameters pH, Chlorine and/or Redox. The dosing systems DULCODOS® Pool are particullarly designed for the conditioning of swimming pool water. Premounted and plug&play DULCODOS® Pool dosing systems assume dosing and controlling plants for the dosing of Sodium Hypochlorite or activated Oxygen and for measuring/controlling of the parameters pH, Chlorine and/or Redox.
Its lower energy and cooling water consumption and compact design are key features of the new ozone generation plant OZONFILT® OZMa that generates 70 to 245 g of ozone per hour from compressed air or oxygen. The ozone volume can be set reproducibly and independently of voltage and pressure fluctuations.
