Dulcometer® Disinfection Controller

The Dulcometer® Disinfection Controller system is a bus system used to network chemical metering equipment. The system is designed for use in water treatment and also for waste water treatment . The flexible system can be designed to meet requirements either as a compact or decentralized modular system and is designed to meet all future requirements

The Dulcometer® Disinfection Controller can be configured in two ways:

  • Dulcometer® Disinfection Controller compact: For controlling a single system
  • Dulcometer® Disinfection Controller DULCO® -Net: For controlling up to 16 systems.

ProMinent made the idea a reality, achieving the task of measuring and controlling from one up to 16 systems using a single device.  Even from two systems considerable cost advantages are gained in comparison with traditional measuring and control systems, because only one single central unit is needed.  If need be, several central units can also be used, e.g. in the caretaker’s and technicians’ room, with different levels of authorization. Each system has an in situ calibration option and can measure and control the following parameters:

  • pH value
  • free chlorine
  • total chlorine (only measured)
  • combined chlorine (calculated)
  • ORP
  • Temperature (as correction variable for pH and chlorine)

  • The card reader: The built-in MultiMediaCard reader and writer allows you to transfer measured data to a PC or to carry out software updates using a MultiMediaCard familiar to you from using a digital camera.
  • Alarm by SMS or email if there is a fault
  • Simple integration into existing building control systems: An OPC server allows smooth integration into any already available control system in the building or process visualization system. 
  • The built-in calibrator/service timer reminds you about any imminent calibration or service.
  • Intuitive operation using a large colour display
  • Simple diagnosis of malfunctions using fault history and diagnosis menu
  • Prevention of incorrect chemical metering: The controller has information on the systems: sensors, metering pumps, desired results, and from this data can forecast the requirement for chemicals.  
  • The Eco!Mode allows circulation power to be decreased, e.g. on days when production requirements are reduced – and this saves energy.
