Reducing the need for fresh water, reducing the operational costs

In accordance with DIN 19645, backwash water can be treated in public swimming pools. To this end, ProMinent has developed a standardised procedure which can be easily adapted to any customer requirements, thanks to its modular construction.

Make sensible use of backwash water and make considerable savings

Public swimming pools are permitted, in accordance with DIN 19645, to treat backwash water and then to re-use it, thus considerably reducing the operating costs. The savings result in a reduction in the need for fresh water and the waste water amounts that can be up to 80% over all lower energy costs.
Using the standard procedures developed by ProMinent for various modules, the backwash water can be efficiently recycled, depending on its intended purpose and quality of the operational water type required: for reuse as fill-water; for cleaning, lavatory cleaning and irrigation as process water or for direct transfer back into the surface water.
The system is available in three sizes for a flow rate of up to 80 m³ per day. Compared to conventional technology, it is particularly suited to the renovation of swimming pools thanks to its minimal footprint. And depending on the water quality that is required, modules for disinfection with chlorine or chlorine dioxide Chlorine dioxide is an exceptionally reactive gas, which is not stored due to its instability ... more in the glossary can be added.
