ProMinent GmbH is expanding its portfolio in the range of swimming pool measurement technology with an innovative product: the DULCOMETER AirGuard is the first measurement system on the market that continuously monitors the trichloramine concentration in indoor swimming pool air in real time. At the same time, it ensures greater safety for bathers and pool staff by initiating the supply of fresh air.

At the same time, it ensures greater safety for bathers and pool staff by initiating the supply of fresh air.
The DULCOMETER AirGuard is the only measuring system available on the market that continuously and precisely measures trichloramine in the air. The measured value provides valuable information about the air quality and possible dangers for pool guests and staff
Trichloramine is produced by the reaction of chlorine with organic substances such as sweat, urine or skin particles and is largely responsible for the typical chlorine odor and possible irritation of the respiratory tract, eyes and skin. Swimmers and staff are particularly affected, as the highest concentrations occur directly above the surface of the water. The DULCOMETER AirGuard measures trichloramine in the range of 0.00 to 2.00 mg/m³ and thus enables compliance with country-specific limit values for air quality in indoor swimming pools. The autonomous analysis system replaces laboratory work that previously had to be carried out using a hand-held measuring device and manual testing.
The system reacts automatically in the event of increased concentrations and can communicate with higher-level control systems via a Modbus RTU, relay and measured value output, for example to adjust the fresh air supply. In addition, a USB connector behind the front panel allows data logger files to be downloaded and software updates to be carried out.
Another advantage is the flexible design: the DULCOMETER AirGuard is available both as a permanently assembled solution and as a transportable measuring station and can be easily integrated into existing systems. In combination with other ProMinent products such as the DULCOMARIN 3 Measuring and Control System, the DULCOPOOL Pro Controllers and the DULCODES MP UV system, a comprehensive system is created to ensure the water and air quality in public swimming pools.
