Uninterrupted Chemical Supply – Safely and Efficiently
The DULCODOS SAFE‑IBC is purpose‑built for dosing applications from IBC totes to ensure safe, uninterrupted, and highly reliable chemical handling where mishaps during IBC changeover can lead to costly downtime, operator exposure, or environmental risk. By combining secure IBC mounting, controlled emptying, and stable metering into one integrated platform, SAFE‑IBC eliminates the common vulnerabilities of manual or improvised chemical tote handling setups.
At its core is a durable PE‑HD retaining tank, constructed with steel‑reinforced bracing to ensure high mechanical stability and certified containment. The retaining tank features a forward‑sloped, non‑slip installation surface that positions the IBC securely and enables nearly complete residual Describes the ability of a substance to have a long-term effect and ... more in the glossary drainage. Connecting the IBC to the system is a set of leak‑proof dry‑closing safety couplings, reinforced chemical‑resistant hoses, and secure recessed storage for the hose when disconnected.
An intermediate buffer tank provides hydraulic separation between the IBC and the metering process, enabling interruption‑free chemical supply during container changeover. The buffer tank is equipped with critical functional components including a suction‑side connector with shut‑off valve, return line connection, venting, inspection opening, and a visual level indicator. For advanced monitoring, the system integrates continuous level measurement using the DULCOLEVEL radar sensor as standard.
The metering station is mounted directly to the base and can be configured with one or two pump systems, along with different piping and fitting material options, which makes it compatible across many industries including chemical manufacturing, potable water treatment, cooling circuits, electroplating, food beverage, and paper processing.
Features and Benefits
- Forward‑Sloped IBC Installation Surface: Ensures correct IBC placement and maximizes residual drainage, which reduces waste, and improves operator safety.
- Integrated 53 gal (200 l) Buffer Tank: Enables uninterrupted chemical dosing during IBC changeover providing no downtime or process disruption.
- Modular Dosing Station Options: Supports one or two pump setups with capacity ranges up to 20.74 GPH (78.5 l/h) and different piping, valve and gasket materials for a wide range of applications.
- Leak‑Proof, Dry‑Closing Safety Couplings: Prevents drips, spills, and exposure during connection and disconnection which reduces risk of chemical contact, environmental releases, and cleanup time.
- Continuous Level Measurement: Real‑time monitoring and alarms prevent unplanned outages to proactively plan IBC changeovers.
- Durable PE‑HD Retaining Tank Base: Captures all drips or leaks safely within a certified containment system, which minimizes environmental risk and meets regulatory expectations.
- Protected Storage for the Connection Hose: Prevents contamination, hose damage, and cleanup when disconnecting thus keeping the workspace clean, organized, and safer.
- Options for Aggressive, Outgassing, or Critical Chemicals: Ensures safe handling of H2SO4, NaOCl, NH4OH, oxidizers, and more, while reducing risks of leaks or dangerous vapor exposure.
